Radio Heathfield makes its debut
Over the past term, students from Heathfield Community College have had the pleasure of listening to Radio Heathfield being broadcast across the school. For me especially, as a senior show producer for the radio, it has been a very exciting and motivating time.
Admittedly, the radio is just moving out of its fledgling stages but it’s certainly a growing success and we have had plenty of positive feedback. A vast majority of our beautiful studio was donated by the generous people at Heart and we have now set up our management team, headed by the always incredible Jared Moss-Coombes. Jared claims: “I think it has the potential to become a strong part of the school and help forge a community to unify our students."
If you want to be involved in Radio Heathfield, then you can always come along to Radio Club on Thursdays after school in Room 14. There are all sorts of positions to be involved in. Whether you want to be a writer, presenter or an audio producer there will be a place for you in our studio. If you’re in the senior part of the school, jobs such as producer and senior show producer are also available.
If you have any music requests we would be more than happy to hear them, so please do send us a message and we will try our best to play them in our show. Or if you want us to discuss TV shows or series that you think would be a good conversation starter, or hot issues that you want to be heard, please feel free to email us at:
