Sparkle and shine: Strictly Come Dancing final 2022

Glitter, spray tan and the grand ballroom! We are coming up to the end of the Strictly season of 2022. Who are you expecting to win?
If you have never heard of Strictly Come Dancing then let me inform you about the amazing TV show it is. Starting in 2004 it has had 20 series so far which equates to a grand total of 366 episodes! It is on BBC1 at 7:15pm on a Saturday with the results programme broadcast the following evening. It is a show to watch out for. However, if you’re thinking that it’s too late to try it out, then that’s ok as you can watch the Christmas special near the Christmas period!
Now let’s have a look at the last final couples still in the race to win the glitterball trophy in the grand final on Saturday 17 December.
First up is Fleur East and Vito Coppola. Fleur is best known for being a singer and being a contestant on ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!’. So far in the competition, we have seen her in the bottom two and at risk of being eliminated three times; however, every time she has fought well in the dance off and stayed in the competition. Fleur is a high scorer in almost every episode even once achieving four ‘10s’, the highest possible score, in week 9.
The next contenders are Hamza Yassin and Jowita Przystal. Hamza is best known for being a wildlife photographer and presenter on CBeebies. Hamza has had a successful time on Strictly, being able to gain the highest score on the leaderboard an astounding four times. His highest score so far was 39 in week 4. Not many people would have known Hamza before this, but I have a good feeling that they will after this!
Our third finalist is Helen Skelton, a presenter and journalist best known for appearing on Countryfile and Blue Peter. Last week, she and her partner, Gorka Marquez, topped the leaderboard with 39. Even though the couple have only reached the top of the leaderboard twice, they have never been in the bottom two.
The final competitors are Molly Rainford and Carlos Gu. Out of all of the contestants, they have been in the bottom two the most, however, she keeps fighting and has earned her spot to dance in the final. Molly is best known for being a singer when she appeared on Britain’s Got Talent at the age of 11 and now she is an actor on CBBC.
Hopefully I have been able to persuade you to tune in to this year’s exciting finale! Now, who will be lifting that glitterball trophy?
