Losing yourself in an Amazon adventure

Step into the world of adventure with this book recommendation from Alexis Wright.
When the plane crashes, four children are stranded in the Amazon jungle. Now they have to survive alone. But, was someone there before them?
The Explorer by Katherine Rundell is a fabulous book full of mystery, gore and adventure. For those of you who like blood and fire, this book is for you. I highly recommend this book because it isn’t scary but it still has some real thrills in it. The way it is written makes it easy to read and, although the book seems big, the size of the words means that it is easily manageable.
The writer is so descriptive that if you close your eyes, you can imagine the Amazon scenery around you. There are images in the book and little decorations on the side of the pages. The drawings are really detailed.
I highly recommend this book because fussy readers (like me) will know it is really hard to get into a book that you don’t like but this book is the complete opposite.
If you enjoy this, I also really recommend a book called Frostheart by Jamie Littler. This book is a great adventure book full of mythical creatures and daring characters.
There are lots of other books written by these authors so if you like these two recommendations, I am sure you can find their other books in a library somewhere near you.
