- As some of you may know, the Queen served in the Second World War as a mechanic.
- She joined the British military when she was 18.
- She was only 13 years old when the war broke out.
- She was the first female member of the Royal Family to serve in the armed forces in 1945. She also held more than 50 ranks and appointments as head of the armed forces.
